Introducing Travel Imago: film for journeys, destinations and travel brands
Travel is rarely experienced as a collection of individual suppliers.
A journey might move through several hotels, landscapes and experiences, but the traveller remembers the trip as a whole: where it began, how it unfolded and the moments that gave it character.
That is the territory for Travel Imago.
Travel Imago is the travel expression of the Imago family, creating films and travel content for companies that design and sell journeys. It works from existing hotel, destination and experience photography to tell the story of the itinerary rather than the individual parts within it.
Every journey has a story
Travel companies already do the difficult work of constructing the journey.
They choose the route, properties and experiences. They decide where time should be spent and what belongs together. Those decisions create something distinct from the individual hotels or destinations being sold: an itinerary with its own point of view.
Film gives that itinerary a narrative form.
A journey through several places can become one piece of travel storytelling, moving between destinations and experiences in the sequence intended by the travel company.
The supplier photography remains the source material. The journey becomes the story.
Itinerary films from existing travel photography
Travel companies often have access to a substantial body of imagery from hotels, destination partners and experiences included within their programmes.
Individually, those photographs describe the component parts of a trip. Travel Imago can work across that material to create an original itinerary film shaped around the journey itself.
That distinction is important.
We are not simply creating hotel films for travel agencies. The travel company has assembled the itinerary and owns the relationship with its traveller. Our job is to create a film around that authored journey.
Destination stories and travel content
Not every travel story needs to follow a multi-stop itinerary.
A destination, collection, particular experience or new travel programme can provide its own editorial starting point. Existing photography can become destination films, shorter travel content and supporting motion developed around a particular story.
The common thread is authorship: identifying what the travel company is actually presenting and building the film around that.
Travel Imago sits alongside Hotel Imago and Design Imago within the Imago family from Glass Hue.
Every journey has a story.
